New Bridge Polo & Country Club is located in Aiken, South Carolina, a haven for horse enthusiasts. A historically equestrian past has been preserved in a town filled with enthusiasm for the horse and the sporting that goes with it. Founded a century ago on the perennial influx of the wealthy “winter colonists” from the Northeast and their pastimes of racing, carriage driving, steeple-chasing, hunting and polo.

In the last decade Aiken has experienced an equestrian revival beyond the imagination of most of the established residents and newcomers.

Eventers and driving enthusiasts find the footing and the climate in the area well suited for seasonal and year round schooling and competing. The Aiken Spring Horse Classic horse show brings top hunter-jumper riders to the area. The year 2007 marked the 125th anniversary of the Aiken Polo Club, and in Whitney field we can find the site of the longest consecutive period of play on one field in the United States.
