Winter Guests!
Tis the season and the Eventers are here! Let's give them a warm welcome. As you may know, these top riders have come for the past few winters to train right here at New Bridge. You may have noticed their trailers at the main barn, and at the other barns in the community - as well as their jumps and dressage rings set up in some of the fields/paddocks. They will have competitions at nearby facilities now thru March. Thanks to Aiken's mild winter climate and sandy soil - we are becoming the 'Winter' Eventing center of the East Coast. New Bridge Polo Club welcomes our Winter Guests, and wishes them a safe and enjoyable season.
Dubai sheikh buys land 7 miles from New Bridge Polo & Country Club
The ruling sheikh of Dubai has purchased 360 acres in Aiken County with the intent of building a private Thoroughbred training facility, just 7 miles from New Bridge Polo & Country Club.
This is a tremendous addition to the equine community in Aiken and once more proves how much this area has to offer to horse enthusiasts.
The intent is to build a training facility; it will feature a one-mile dirt training track, and a lot of green space. It will be used to prepare their yearlings and 2-year-olds during the winter and spring for their careers at the racetrack.
Café Update
Our Clubhouse Cafe is going thru some renovations/upgrades we hope to have completed by spring. Major work has been completed to upgrade the well to commercial compliance, but there is still more to do, and we are moving forward with those upgrades. We would like to open for the Spring Polo Season, and are working hard to accomplish that goal. Thank you for your patience while we upgrade the facility.
